Land gives us life. Our water flows clean when we take care of our land. We need our land for good health - places to play and explore, to exercise and let go of stress. EMFLT's mission is to conserve, promote, and protect the open spaces and green places of ecological, cultural or scenic significance in East Mississippi. EMFLT is taking steps to preserve our wonderful Mississippi resources for future generations. The key to successful preservation is working with landowners to preserve the stream-side habitat, diverse wildlife, and quality of the waterways. Landowners play a vital role in the success of the East Mississippi Foothills Land Trust. If you are a landowner and are interested in the long-term protection of your land, then a conservation agreement may be for you. Conservation agreements can be tailored to fit your specific needs.
